Talking shoes with Marsha Golemac and David Flack

We managed to snatch some time from the busy schedules of the most exciting Melbourne creative team going around, to ask a few questions about their shoe styles.

So sit back, put your shoes up for a moment and gain an insight into the lives [well shoe lives at least!] of the incredible Marsha Golemac and David Flack.

From Marsha

Do you have a special shoe memory from your childhood or teenage years?
When I was 10 years old, I spent my pocket money on a pair of white runners with The Simpsons characters on it. I thought I was the coolest [wasn’t though].

If you could only own one pair of shoes, what type would they be?
Hender Scheme MIP 10 Sneaker

Where was the most memorable place/s your shoes have taken you?
Memorable – too many! But one of my faves would have to be going to Mum’s for lunch [as often as possible].

How do you store your shoes – are you a box stacker, a shoe rack, or a pile? When you arrive home, where do you kick off your shoes?
I have a long shoe rack in my wardrobe but I occasionally find myself kicking them off somewhere in the apartment and then forgetting where I left them.

From David

Do you have a special shoe memory from your childhood or teenage years?
Ballin’ in my Reebok pumps.

If you could only own one pair of shoes, what type would they be?
I could never just have one pair.

Where was the most memorable place/s your shoes have taken you?
Well, I think some of the most memorable things I’ve done have been not wearing shoes.

How do you store your shoes – are you a box stacker, a shoe rack, or a pile?
In their original boxes inside protective felt bags.

When you arrive home, where do you kick off your shoes?
Next to the drinks trolley.

And remember, the incredible design duo of Marsha and David will be centre stage at one of our ‘Conversations in design’ events as part of MSFW 2015 curated program. For event details, please click here.
