The best cleaning method really depends on the kind of leather you're looking to treat. For smooth or grain leather, a neutral conditioner or light beeswax polish both nourish natural leathers and add a thin layer of weather protection. You should brush the leather to remove dirt before applying with a soft cloth or shoe brush and then finish by buffing off the excess.

A great way to remove small marks on upper leathers is to erase them with a white pencil eraser.

For patent and hi-shine leather, you'll want to opt for specially formulated patent products that clean and protect whilst protecting against cracking.

With metallic leathers, lightly dust using a soft micro-fiber cloth. Avoid heavy buffing or polishes as they may cause the metallic foil to lift or discolour.

The best way to soften leather sandals is to wear them in gently. We would never suggest a first outing where you plan to be out all day on your feet.

Despite their high quality, some leathers take longer to "open up" and adjust to your foot shape (particularly patent, high shine and metallics). If worn in shorter increments initially, 3 to 4 hours sessions, they will adjust and wear-in accordingly. The structure of habbot sandals is such that the shoe leather will open up and soften to create a more comfortable fit across the width of the foot but the length will never change. Thus, while the sandals will comfortably mold to the feet, they will never lose their integrity.
