lazio - toast

After googling 'Italian-made shoes', I came across Habbot. I hadn't heard of them before, and I was looking for a very particular shoe: the perfect lace-up. I was happy to pay a higher price for something well made and long lasting as I've bought too many poorly made shoes in the past. I really wanted this purchase to stick.

After browsing every style, I came across these. The Lazio. Wow. They are amazing. I was in love with them at first site. So I went to order them, and heart-breakingly my usual size (an AU 9/ EU 40), was out of stock. Some lucky person had snagged the last size before me and I was devastated. I emailed the Habbot team and asked about this shoe and if they'd be restocked. They told me they wouldn't as they're a seasonal style. Then, I had a brain wave and decided to check the size guide on a whim.

It turns out that in Habbot sizes, a 39 is a 8.5, which is my real shoe size but I have been so used to needing to size up because of the half size, that I automatically always get a 40/ 9. The 39 was in stock and it arrived quickly. The Lazio is even more beautiful in person. And the size is perfect. They are comfortable underfoot straight away - the leather is stiff because of the quality so I'm still breaking them in (worn them around 6 times), but I couldn't be happier.

Beautiful shoes, great quality and fit. These shoes are light too! Perfect to wear at work, as well as with a more casual outfit.

What I love the most is that they do not cut into my skin around my ankle!

True to size for your flat shoe sizing

The colour is beautiful. The fit in the length is perfect, but, if you have a wide foot and high instep it gets a bit tricky. I find them tight around the instep and around the toes.

I love these shoes - the colour is divine and I get comments every day I wear them. I’m wearing them to work with suit pants as well as casual.
