Each habbot collection is designed in Melbourne and handmade by a team of skilled craftsmen in a family-owned factory in Le Marche, Italy. We create premium quality shoes and accessories that pair contrasting elements of the old world with the new. ROLE SUMMARY:

 

Our Melbourne-based head office is looking for a team-oriented individual to join our combined retail and ecommerce team within our Collingwood studio store, for a regular 1- 2 day a week shift including Saturday. A great opportunity for someone looking to accompany part time studies or free-lance work with regular supplementary income, or someone looking to re-engage in professional life on a casual basis. Our social media content often features our team, so we're looking for someone who’s comfortable being in-front of the camera from time to time.

We are seeking a candidate that possesses the following attributes:


• A discerning and energetic personality who thrives within the retail environment, whilst also being able to carry out a range of other tasks relating to dispatching of ecommerce orders and stock management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills that enable the successful applicant to maintain order and harmony within small studio environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative in an intimate store setting.

 • Previous experience working with premium products/services and an ability to convey the significance of authentic design is preferred. A minimum of 2 years working in a customer facing role is required.
• Understands our luxury brand aesthetic and the importance of appropriate
personal presentation.
• Computer literacy / familiarity with general POS operations

 

A typical day can include setting up the shop for the day, sifting through overnight online orders and then pulling them to prepare to ship. We greet our customers with a smile from 10am. Adaptability is key as we shift from helping retail customers in store to handling online and phone queries. We pack up the orders for the day and then ship them out, we restock inventory, tally sales for the day and close up shop at 3pm. We also may be called upon to feature in a habbot team social posts as required.

Their dedicated craftsmanship guarantees a quality product that is built to last and is not trend driven. We are conscious of minimising waste and strive to maximise usage of the raw materials every step of the way. As such we also use excess end-of-run leathers to create limited edition styles that we sell annually. Our makers in Italy use local suppliers located within minutes of the factory with the aim to keep production as low impact and efficient as possible.
